Lantern is a proposed starless world given a local engineered source of warmth and light. Sheltered districts and glowing greenhouses make the frontier habitable in the film’s imagination.

WORLDS & HABITATS / CHAPTER 01
A world defined by its light
Lantern's name suggests a different relationship to a day. Light is not simply something arriving from a familiar sky; it is a system that people have chosen to build and maintain. The concept offers strong contrasts between darkness, inhabited spaces and the source of illumination. The mechanism is not finalized, so the site does not invent a miniature star specification.

WORLDS & HABITATS / CHAPTER 02
Making a place livable
This setting expresses humanity's thematic difference from the Orvaan: building places to live rather than only identifying threats to remove. Cyborg labor, science and maintenance can be visible in the world's daily life. The concept does not remove energy costs or imply that an artificial sun is a presently available technology.

Wonder with a boundary
The gallery currently contains mood studies that support the lighting direction. They are not a locked map or scientific depiction of a discovered planet. Giving Lantern its own dossier allows its unanswered design questions to be developed deliberately instead of hiding them behind a generic futuristic skyline.
Worlds in Motion explores the homes beyond Earth: twilight cities, ocean settlements, winged travel, an artificial ring and a sunless world with engineered warmth. It shows what the civilization values before focusing on what threatens it.

MOTION STUDY
Let the world move.
Slow pans, scale and transitions assembled from existing artwork. Native controls keep playback in your hands.
ARTWORK MOTION STUDY · 12 SECONDS · SILENT · NOT FINAL FILM FOOTAGE
Optional website score, played only by you. This is separate from the silent motion study and is not a final film sound mix.
INTERACTIVE 3D
A different perspective.
INTERACTIVE STUDY · SCHEMATIC WORLD
Interactive concept model loads when this section enters view. The artwork and all story text remain available without 3D.
Schematic schematic world used to explore scale and form. It is not a production-ready asset, a portrait, a physically accurate simulation or a unique final model of Lantern. Drag gently; vertical touch scrolling remains available.
Three actual renders of the website inspection model. Shared form studies are not presented as unique finalized hulls or astronomical maps.
DESIGN NOTES
The visual language.
FORM & FEEL
Form follows the story.
Cold terrain, a dark star field, concentrated artificial light and warm sheltered interiors distinguish Lantern from perpetual-dusk Proxima and ocean-covered Teegarden.
CANON BOUNDARY
What the story does—and does not—claim.
No unbounded energy source, habitable climate or engineering specification is claimed. The mechanism and final world design remain open.
It is a fictional world concept in this film universe.
How is its artificial light generated?
The final mechanism is not locked in the reviewed notes.
Why include it in the story?
It illustrates humanity's ability and desire to build livable environments.
Are the images and videos final movie footage?
No. The photographs are development artwork and the short videos are silent motion studies assembled from that artwork. They are labelled on the page. Final character portraits, scene performances and production-ready effects are not implied.
