The Mars Shield is the fictional defense system that protects Mars during the second asteroid attack. Its success changes the story from escape after a catastrophe to recognition of a deliberate campaign.

TECHNOLOGY / CHAPTER 01
A system with a purpose
The word shield can suggest a glowing bubble that solves every problem. The story calls for something more specific: infrastructure capable of responding to a threatening object. The existing array model offers a way to inspect a directional mechanism, but it is a visual study rather than a final installation design.

TECHNOLOGY / CHAPTER 02
Success does not remove consequences
Breaking or diverting a threat still requires timing, coordination and attention to what remains. The site's description avoids turning the system into a universal defense against rocks, radiation and every weapon at once. Its importance is also investigative: a second crisis after Earth changes what the characters believe is happening.

TECHNOLOGY / CHAPTER 03
People keep the system working
Zara's political responsibility, the research team's interpretation and Anil's proposed repair sequence can all meet around the defense. This makes the technology a place where characters act rather than a button that produces a spectacle. The identity of the second object and the exact operational sequence remain separate development decisions.
The second asteroid attack reaches Mars after Earth’s evacuation. The Mars Shield’s response reveals that the danger is deliberate, while a proposed intervention by Anil makes his Cyborg identity visible beneath a human appearance.

MOTION STUDY
Let the world move.
Slow pans, scale and transitions assembled from existing artwork. Native controls keep playback in your hands.
ARTWORK MOTION STUDY · 12 SECONDS · SILENT · NOT FINAL FILM FOOTAGE
Optional website score, played only by you. This is separate from the silent motion study and is not a final film sound mix.
INTERACTIVE 3D

INTERACTIVE STUDY · ARRAY CONCEPT
Interactive concept model loads when this section enters view. The artwork and all story text remain available without 3D.
Schematic array concept used to explore scale and form. It is not a production-ready asset, a portrait, a physically accurate simulation or a unique final model of Mars Shield. Drag gently; vertical touch scrolling remains available.
Three actual renders of the website inspection model. Shared form studies are not presented as unique finalized hulls or astronomical maps.
DESIGN NOTES
The visual language.
FORM & FEEL
Form follows the story.
Orbital arrays, copper thermal surfaces and a red planetary horizon keep the system visually tied to Mars. Defense lines in the interactive scene are presentation graphics, not claims that beams are visible in empty space.
CANON BOUNDARY
What the story does—and does not—claim.
Not an invulnerable bubble. The second object’s exact identity and the final mechanics of its interception are not locked in this dossier.
The approved story explicitly distinguishes Earth's lack of this capability from Mars's defense.
Does it block every kind of threat?
No. It is a specific asteroid-defense concept.
Is the array viewer a final Mars installation?
No. It is an interactive geometric study.
Are the images and videos final movie footage?
No. The photographs are development artwork and the short videos are silent motion studies assembled from that artwork. They are labelled on the page. Final character portraits, scene performances and production-ready effects are not implied.
